GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, NEWCAST 2011: Right on target with new exhibitor and visitor records.
Superior Graphite closed right on target after a five day participation of the technology trade fairs including GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST. The global foundry fairs were held in Düsseldorf from 6/28 7/2. Only taking place every four years, vendors prep for the show months, sometimes years, in advance to plan extravagant booth displays. GIFA overall was as great success with a record number of exhibitors and visitors.
Superior Graphite's global team networked with leading metal casting foundry manufacturers, engineers and suppliers to collaborate on technological advancements and enhance existing partnerships. Desulco, Superior Graphite's premier recarburiser for cast iron and steel, was highlighted in the comfort of an aesthetically fresh and modern booth. A huge Desulco picture (4.5 m x 2.5 m) in the centre of the booth was a real "eye catcher" and attracted people from all around the world.
The trade fairs posted new records both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. 1,958 exhibitors from throughout the world met with 79,000 visitors from 83 countries. With these results, the trade fairs impressively confirmed their standing as the leading trade fairs in their sectors. In particular, the high percentage of both international exhibitors and visitors evidenced just how popular the trade fairs are globally. The share of international visitors was up again over the previous events: Over 54% of visitors travelled to Düsseldorf from abroad, especially from India, Italy, France, Austria and the USA. Superior Graphite hopes to see industry leaders in 2015 for the next GIFA!
